The game of maneuvering by leaders is not new in politics. Talking about Shravasti parliamentary seat, the leaders have mastered the art of changing party allegiance in their quest to reach Parliament. The leaders tried to strengthen their position by changing sides. Party loyalty has been broken only thrice in the Lok Sabha elections.
If we talk about the 2009 elections, Congress fielded Vinay Kumar Pandey. He also won, but when he faced defeat in 2014, he changed sides. Now he is in SP, but the circumstances have become such that SP has become friends with his old party. Now he is once again trying to get back into the mainstream. Rizwan Zaheer, who had contested the elections from BSP at that time, has also left the party. Similarly, in 2014, Lalji Verma of Ambedkar Nagar had fought with BSP, he also joined Samajwadi Party. Now he is contesting elections from Ambedkarnagar.

Dan Mishra also joined BJP from BSP and contested and won the elections in 2014. This time BJP did not give him ticket. It is a different matter that he has not left the party. He is the President of Shravasti District Panchayat. Ram Shiromani Verma from BSP won the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. But the party itself showed him the way out by questioning his loyalty.
MP Brijbhushan Singh had also left BJP
In 2004, BJP had fielded Gonda MP Brijbhushan Sharan Singh from Balrampur parliamentary seat. He also won. But even before the 2009 elections, he left BJP and joined SP. At that time SP made him a candidate from Kaiserganj and he also won. But in 2014 he again returned to BJP.
Due to the moves of the leaders, the parties also changed their strategy.
After the political moves of local leaders, the parties also made major changes in their strategy. Now it is being tested from many levels to emphasize on sustainable and winning. This is the reason that while BJP has expressed confidence in Saket Mishra from Shravasti parliamentary seat, SP and BSP are trying to test the people. The equation is being investigated in consultation with party officials. Due to this, candidates for both the parties have not been decided yet.
